Illuminating the Elizabeth
We are thrilled to share that Morlights has been featured on the cover of the latest issue of Lighting Management & Maintenance (LM&M) magazine! The article, "Morlights’ Project Illustrates the Benefits of DALI Over Traditional Controls," highlights our work on The Elizabeth, a residential high-rise in Chicago, designed by Hartshorne Plunkard and developed by Sterling Bay.
Elevating Lighting with DALI Technology
For The Elizabeth, we utilized Digital Addressable Lighting Interface (DALI) technology to create a lighting system that is as intelligent as it is beautiful. Unlike traditional lighting controls, DALI offers precise, customizable control over individual fixtures, allowing us to program dynamic lighting scenes that adapt to residents' needs while enhancing the building’s architectural features.
With DALI, The Elizabeth benefits from:
- Seamless dimming and tuning to create ambiance at any time of day
- Energy efficiency through automated scheduling and occupancy-based adjustments
- Scalability for future modifications without rewiring or disrupting the design
- User-friendly control for property management and residents
A Recognition of Innovation
A huge thank you to LM&M magazine for this feature, and for recognizing our commitment to pushing the boundaries of lighting design. And, of course, a huge thanks to our partners at Hartshorne Plunkard and Sterling Bay for their collaboration on this project.
